Cubro Custos - network monitoring software

A company's network problems realistically disable it from performing its core function, generating profit for owners and shareholders. According to Gartner, the average cost of IT downtime is $5,600 per minute. While larger companies can afford to devote a sizable portion of their budgets to network maintenance and security, small and medium-sized organizations often have to cut back on a smaller number of specialized IT staff.
It is with these enterprises in mind that Cubro has developed the Custos application, dedicated network monitoring software that can be optionally installed on Cubro Omnia series devices.
The network is one of the basic elements on which a company's revenues depend. However, it happens that although we pay for a service to deliver high-speed Internet from an ISP, the level of service does not meet SLAs, so that we are effectively not getting what we pay for. Increasingly common threats, such as ransomware, have the potential to cause catastrophic losses. Being able to detect and remove infections immediately will prevent both financial losses and business continuity disruptions, including reputational damage in the eyes of customers and clients.
Individual tabs
The Wireless Network Performance Dashboard provides a clear layout and intuitive user interface to distinguish between what is working properly and problems that need to be addressed. The dashboard allows you to check the devices on your network, the services running on your devices, the performance of your Internet connections, and detect potential threats.
In this tab, the Custos network monitoring application provides real-time information on Internet speeds. Tracking incoming and outgoing traffic allows you to monitor bandwidth. With this feature, you can get a deeper insight into the use of network resources.
The network team needs to know everything that's going on in the network - Among other things, to make sure that no suspicious activity is overlooked. Bookmark allows you to detect threats and alert you to them. The alerts are sorted according to the severity of the threat, allowing you to deal with them effectively. Regular scanning detects network anomalies and identifies unknown devices using methods such as IP scanning and detection of custom DNS queries.
This feature provides a list of all services running on each device on your network, such as WhatsApp, Skype, Windows Update, etc. Detection is based on the DPI method. Not being able to access an email, HTTP or FTP server even for an hour can cause losses for your business. That's why it is so important to permanently and efficiently monitor the availability of all services. On the other hand, it also allows you to identify the use of unknown or obsolete services, so you can take appropriate pro-efficiency measures.
The global view offers an overview of the geolocation associated with source and destination traffic flows. It shows a geographic representation of the direction of network traffic, usually by IP address.
CProgram for monitoring LANs and wireless devices Custos implements the Rolling Capture ring buffer, which continuously records network traffic to disk. With this feature, users can perform packet capture analysis from multiple angles. The recorded traffic is displayed on a timeline, visualizing its intensity over time. Users can specify the period from which the data is to be displayed, or set it with a slider. Custos network monitoring software will automatically index the
recorded traffic and will display all relevant information, such as protocols, IP addresses and ports dynamically associated with the selected time range. Selected snippets of network traffic history can be exported to PCAP format, and the indexed information can be used as filters to further refine the PCAP before export. An integrated Webshark interface provides instant traffic analysis directly in Custos, or PCAPs can be downloaded directly to a local device for analysis.
