Use of medical devices on the network
The products in our portfolio are designed for the rapidly developing network connectivity. All medical devices that do not have a network interface but have other connections can be integrated into an Ethernet or Wi-Fi network. The attachments support Ethernet, USB, RS-232 interfaces. The output data of medical equipment from, for example, X-ray machines, ECGs or blood pressure monitors, can be transmitted and distributed over a LAN computer network thanks to network attachments specially adapted for this purpose. In this way, devices that do not have factory-built network adapters, but require remote access or sending data to another location in the hospital, can still be used. The network access servers (in this case from: Silex) are equipped with the latest technology, so they achieve high performance, while providing secure and safe data transfer thanks to a built-in data encryption interface. All of this can be accomplished over wired LAN or wireless WLAN networks.
Another group of solutions that improve device connectivity on the network are products that enable healthcare professionals to access and monitor patients' health status, in real time. With accurate and on-demand insights into a patient's health status, doctors and nurses can provide more personalized treatment and improve their patients' quality of life.
Applications of medical device access solutions:
- Infusion pumps
- Patient monitors
- Diagnostic ECG machines
- Portable X-ray equipment
- Glucometers
- Blood pulse oximeters
- X-ray machines
- Hand-held blood analyzers
- Endoscopic surgery systems
- Optical surgery equipment
The products are designed to handle critical resources and protect operations from unauthorized access, giving you peace of mind that your data is always safe. This makes it easy to deliver data to a private or public cloud infrastructure and mobile app, so that an organization's resources can be tracked at all times. Solutions most often offer connectivity to any medical device, providing multiple interface options to connect to virtually any medical solution. They support serial interfaces with one or two RS-232 ports, USB 2.0 with host and device modes, and Ethernet interfaces. The devices also offer Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi® connectivity. They are equipped with industry-leading, high-performance 5GHz Wi-Fi (802.11ac), reliable, durable wireless connections and bandwidth for high-speed data processing. As a result, devices that don't have factory-built network cards but require remote access or data transfer to another hospital location can still be used.
