In 2020, our portfolio manufacturer Microchip Technology Inc. tentatively announced the acquisition of Tekron International Limited. It is one of the world's leaders in manufacturing precision GPS and atomic clock timing technologies and solutions. Tekron develops solutions for smart grids and other industrial applications.
Early 2024 saw the full integration of Tekron's solutions into Microchip's offerings, and they can now be purchased from Microchip resellers at Stovaris, among others. The acquired vendor's portfolio of utility timing systems provides a full selection of GNSS time servers for any timing application. Tekron's products are designed to meet stringent environmental requirements for power substation deployment.
