In accordance with the strategy adopted by the Stovaris Board of Directors to develop a portfolio relating to products dedicated to data storage security, in the first quarter of 2022 we established cooperation with DIGIT-TRADE. This German manufacturer of encrypted storage media has tremendous experience in securing and protecting both cor- porate and private data.
The four main products from this supplier that we will focus on are:
Encrypted SSD/HDD hard drives
- HS256 S3 - drive with a capacity of up to 4TB, protection through two-step authentication (chip card and PIN);
- RS256 - encrypted external drive with capacity up to 4TB, with BSI approval for VS-NfD government classified information (BSI-VSA-10338 approval and VS-NfD compliance - for official use only)
Encrypted USB-C flash drives
- Kobra Stick Basic - USB flash drive with a capacity of up to 256GB, one-step authentication, using a PIN code;
- Kobra Stick VS - USB flash drive with a capacity of up to 512GB, two-step authentication (smart chip card and PIN code).
External hard drives with a high level of security
HS256 S3 encrypted external hard drive - SSD/HDD with up to 4TB of capacity, two-step authentication with chip card and PIN.
DIGITTRADE GmbH has been designing and manufacturing external encrypted hard drives and USB flash drives since 2005. Banks, private companies and government agencies use the extremely secure HS256S and HS256 S3 drives to transfer sensitive data and for backup, in compliance with established security policies and legislation relating to data protection. DIGITTRADE storage media also offer many possible applications for private users. At the end of 2017, the HS256 S3 hard drive received Common Cri-teria certification from the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). This makes it the first and so far only hard drive to meet the strict requirements of the German IT security agency.
Encrypted USB-C memory sticks on PIN
Two variants of the Kobra Stick - Basic (up to 256GB capacity, one-step PIN authentication) and VS (up to 512GB capacity, two-step authentication, PIN and microchip card).
KOBRA Stick is an encrypted USB-C memory stick in a sturdy, elegant metal case. It allows you to store information in accordance with data protection policies. It also makes it possible to securely carry sensitive data from government institutions, companies and individuals. The KOBRA flash drive has been developed taking into account BSI's "Technical Guidelines", carries the "IT security made in Germany" quality mark, and with its security features is the ideal solution for securely storing data "on the move".
Data stored on the KOBRA Stick is protected against unauthorized access, for example, in case of loss or theft of the data carrier, as well as in case of logical or physical attacks. KOBRA Stick ensures data confidentiality through the following security mechanisms:
- encryption,
- access control,
- cryptographic key management.
