Supermicro recently announced full support for the new NVIDIA RTX A5500, NVIDIA HGX A100 and next-generation NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPUs for full Omniverse integration.
San Jose, California, March 22, 2022. - Super Micro Computer, Inc. (SMCI) announces support for the latest versions of NVIDIA software and hardware. Supermicro's servers and workstations are uniquely suited to the needs of professionals who require the latest technologies for real-time collaboration and solving complex business problems.
Supermicro's NVIDIA-certified servers and workstations have been verified to provide a GPU-accelerated infrastructure that can handle a wide range of accelerated workloads. The latest professional GPU, the NVIDIA RTX™ A5500, enables enterprises to create an advanced NVIDIA Omniverse™ Enterprise environment where globally distributed teams can accelerate workflows and seamlessly collaborate on their projects in a shared virtual world.
"Supermicro's series of servers and workstations are designed to leverage the capabilities of the NVIDIA AI Enterprise software suite and Omniverse Enterprise platform, enabling professionals to collaborate seamlessly and perform better. We are excited about the future products that NVIDIA will bring to market and our commitment to bring the best and most complete solutions to market first, as we have done consistently for 28 years."
NVIDIA also unveiled the OVX computing system, designed to meet the demands of advanced digital twins (digital twins). The OVX reference architecture combines carefully selected processors and graphics chips with optimized networking and storage, allowing organizations to create real-time interactive, computer-generated representations of physical environments. NVIDIA OVX reference architecture is available on Supermicro SYS-420GP-TNR servers with NVIDIA A40 GPUs.
Supermicro plans to offer several systems optimized for NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPUs based on the NVIDIA Hopper architecture (successor to the A100). These include a new NVIDIA HGX™ H100 configuration with eight H100 GPUs per system. Thanks to the innovative - relative to previous technologies - architecture, HPC and AI users will see significant performance gains in a wide range of applications accelerated by the new NVIDIA H100 GPU-based servers. In addition, Supermicro's just-announced universal GPU servers will allow customers to select and install the best processors and GPUs for their specific application requirements, while maintaining a consistent management interface.
"At a time when teams are spread across the globe, professionals need a shared virtual world to seamlessly bring their designs and simulations to life. By partnering with Supermicro, we're giving designers, engineers and developers the ability to collaborate in real time, solve complex problems and build with physical accuracy, so they can connect and create beyond imagination."
