Is Sangfor also a subscription?
Sangfor HCI offers a flexible subscription licensing model based on the number of physical processors with no limit on the number of cores.
Is it possible to buy a solution without EDR?
Yes, EDR solutions are included in the aSEC license and it is optional. This license extends the functionality of Sangfor HCI with additional security through a dedicated IPS, vulnerability scanner, micro segmentation and detection of known and unknown threats including Ransomware
Is the agentless Veeam Sangfor connection working yet?
An agentless connection to Veeam will be available soon.
Is Sangfor on-prem? Can it be installed on any hardware (platform agnostic)?
Sangfor HCI is an on premise solution with the ability to install on any x86 server.
Is there any equivalent of Vmware EVC in Sangfor?
Yes, the feature is called Live Migration.
What technology is SDS virtualization based on?
SDS Virtualization - Sangfor aSAN is based on Sangfor's wln solution using the Glusterfs file system.
Does Sangfor integrate with any VM backup solution?
Yes, currently Sangfor HCI integrates agentlessly with Veritas NetBackup, Vinchin Backup & Recovery and soon Veeam solutions. Sangfor HCI also has a built-in backup mechanism for virtual machines that does not require additional licenses. The built-in backup system also works for VMware virtual machines.
