NetAlly EtherScope nXG - a network expert in your pocket

NetAlly EtherScope nXG

The NetAlly EtherScope nXG is a portable All-In-One network tester that helps network engineers and technicians work faster and more efficiently - from installation to maintenance to creating network technical documentation. It is easy to use, provides full network visibility, and - with remote access to the device - allows quick support for field technicians.

Key features of NetAlly EtherScope nXG

  • Install, test, verify and troubleshoot Gigabit, 10G, Bluetooth and WiFi 5/6 networks using Android-based applications in a purpose-built device.
  • NetAlly EtherScope nXG enables technicians who may not have access to systems or network management tools to evaluate and document complex network deployments with multiple VLANs and WiFi SSIDs.
  • NetAlly EtherScope nXG enables seamless consolidation and management of field test data, as well as integration with network management systems, via the free Link-Live cloud service.
  • A unique combination of copper and fiber network testing up to 10G, WiFi and Bluetooth in a single device.

Here is a comparison of functionality between the NetAlly EtherScope nXG and other testers:

Different technologies - one device

The device uses native 4×4 WiFi, which it supports:

  • WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (wave 2) connection testing,
  • WiFi network visibility 6,
  • Analysis of SSIDs, BSSIDs, channels, client devices and sources of interference.

The Ethernet port supports:

  • 10/100/1000Mbps connections to 2.5/5/10G,
  • PoE port testing under load up to 90W,
  • Built-in Bluetooth v5/BLE receiver for testing connectivity and conducting BT/BLE field tests.

NetAlly EtherScope nXG - Capabilities

To the capabilities of the NetAlly EtherScope nXG we can add, among others, network detection - both wired and wireless - network mapping, determining the port of the switch connected to the device, its name. With the device we will also measure the performance of the link (up to 10G), checking whether it maintains corporate standards (such as packet loss rate, latency or jitter). You can also perform iPerf tests if needed, and capture packets and create PCAP files.

Once the network has been thoroughly tested, we can make all the test results available through the Link-Live cloud service, which stores them for automatic reports and documentation.
