Rimage - publishing printed optical media and flash drives

Rimage has been automating the production of a series of optical media and now flash drives for years. Discs and USB are two different poles, and Rimage has created automation machines for publishing both types of media. They make it possible to produce single discs, or flash drives, or a series of identical media (duplication). Rimage duplicators are able to operate without the need for constant supervision by an operator. The system is run by programs or applications.

It is worth noting the different technology of printing on optical discs. Thermal transfer or thermoretransfer printing is carried out on special thermal printers, using colored ribbons. Thermal transfer technology is a simple printing, usually using one, maximum three colors. Increasing the number of colors increases the printing time. Thermal transferprinting is the only unique method in the world for mixing colors in thermal printers. The application of the color design is carried out through a special conveyor belt. Thanks to this method of printing, an almost photographic quality of graphic elements placed on the plates is achieved. This type of printer uses CMY color ribbons and a conveyor belt. Thermal transfer and teromoretransfer printing is resistant to light scratches and moisture.

Rimage offers fully automated systems, featuring integrated printers with advanced robotics and drives. Models are available that produce from several to hundreds of media in a single run. An important feature of Rimage systems is the ability to serialize media - it is possible to produce large runs of the same media, as well as individualized runs that differ in both content and printing.

We divide automatic recording-duplicating devices with printing into: office, low-volume and production (high-volume) devices with thermal transfer or thermoretransfer printing. Peripheral office equipment can be placed on a desk or in a separate secure room. They are most often networked through a management computer. Automated production machines are highly sophisticated networked devices.

MAESTRO
