Kerlink
Kerlink is a global company founded in 2004 in France, producing advanced electronics for IoT. It serves private companies, cities, specialized industries and network operators to cost-effectively design, deploy, monitor and operate public and private IoT networks with the LoRaWAN protocol worldwide.
Headquartered in France, as a global player, Kerlink offers a comprehensive portfolio of carrier-grade outdoor LoRaWAN gateways and industrial-grade indoor LoRaWAN gateways , a LoRa Network Server (LNS) and unique tools for operating and managing IoT networks, including specialized applications.
Kerlink listed on the Euronext (ALKLK) stock exchange with multiple branches in the United States, Singapore, India and Japan supports top-class, efficient, robust, scalable and easy-to-use IoT solutions with additional professional services for designing and organizing IoT networks with low power consumption and wide area (LPWA). Kerlink products are characterized by high performance and are adapted to the needs of various countries, including the Polish market.
Since 2015, Kerlink, together with Semtech , has been one of the founders and a member of the LoRa Alliance group, which has created a unique program of appropriate certification, including test packages confirming that the manufactured device meets the functional requirements of the LoRaWAN standard, which is a key factor in the rapid global implementation of IoT solutions. Kerlink provides detailed technical information about its products, which facilitates implementation and selection of the right solution.
Serve IoT 2025 Strategic Plan."
In 2022, Kerlink unveiled its "Serve IoT 2025" strategic plan, which will enable the company to consolidate its position as one of the global leaders in IoT. The market is being disrupted by stricter environmental requirements and the emergence of new technological and economic trends. Kerlink has decided to implement the plan to capitalize on the potential of new environmental regulations and develop technology niches:
- Greater energy efficiency, which requires better monitoring and management of energy consumption.
- Greenhouse gas reduction, requiring energy efficiency monitoring.
- Combating the effects of global warming, requiring greater efforts to monitor and protect natural resources.
- Increased regulatory restrictions and fiscal pressures in a more difficult economic and geopolitical environment.
Kerlink's strategy responds to the growing demands of the IoT market and the needs of various industries, providing solutions tailored to specific customer expectations.
With the aim of meeting these above requirements, Kerlink wants to leverage new IoT technology solutions to accelerate the transformation of the economy. The group will particularly focus on:
- Edge Computing solutions and methods of optimizing data processing on the network periphery in order to limit the impact of data transmission and storage in specialized Edge AI computers.
- Greater segmentation of IoT LoRaWAN protocols. Kerlink has developed expertise in this area and the emergence of unlicensed LPWAN technology should support the expansion of the IoT market by stimulating the use of different networks.
- Development of private IoT or 5G networks with specific requirements, a market for various companies, many industries, cities and local authorities. In this market, Kerlink has achieved a successful strategic pivot and is ideally positioned to fully exploit these changes.
What does Kerlink offer?
Kerlink's product offerings at Stovaris currently focus on solutions for building LoRaWAN networks. This offering includes hardware and software solutions that directly address all the challenges faced by companies building wide-area LPWAN networks. The manufacturer offers different product groups, but this can be summarized in 4 product groups. Each Kerlink gateway is an advanced product available in different versions to suit the needs of the market.
Kerlink gateway models include the Kerlink Wirnet, Wirnet iFemtoCell and Wirnet iZeptoCell. The Wirnet iFemtoCell gateway is designed for indoor applications, while the Wirnet gateways and other models can be installed both indoors and outdoors (outdoor). All of these gateways support the 868 MHz band, allowing operation over a wide range of unlicensed frequencies. Kerlink gateways allow for spreading factor configuration, including mono spreading factor and multi spreading factor modes, allowing for optimized network operation and increased performance depending on deployment needs.
For in-house and budget gateways such as Wirnet's iZeptoCell, the iZeptoCell gateway is equipped with a USB connector, allowing the device to be flexibly powered from different sources, such as a phone charger or powerbank. This makes it convenient to power the device to fit different deployment scenarios.
Kerlink's outdoor gateways, such as the Wirnet models, are designed for outdoor operation and support the 868 MHz band. In addition, there is the possibility of integrating a GPS module, which allows for precise location and monitoring of devices in an IoT network.
Device locators
Kerlink uses WiFi or Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to detect and locate devices: e.g. Bluetooth beacons or smartphones with an active WiFi network. The data collected in the gateway can be transmitted without delay or in packets at a specific time interval to achieve energy efficiency that allows battery power.
LoRaWAN indoor gateways
Fully functional LoRaWAN network gateways designed for indoor applications. Application in various types of Smart City / Smart Metering / Smart Industry applications. The gateways are equipped with a built-in antenna. An RJ45 Ethernet port equipped with PoE technology can be used to power the device.

LoraWAN outdoor gateways
Fully functional LoRaWAN network gateways designed for outdoor operation (IP67 protection). The compact housing and built-in internal antenna allow the gateways to be installed in public spaces in public areas without the risk of easy damage. A dedicated solution in the Metering Industries and Agricultures / Smart City segment.
Budget LoraWAN indoor gateways
Fully functional LoRaWAN network gateways designed for indoor operation, a low-cost solution dedicated to the Home Metering / Smart Building segment. Despite its small size, it has the normal firmware used in all gateways, so you can be sure that the tested applications will work with any other Kerlink product.

Kerlink Wirnet Academy
Kerlink has developed and donated special technology packages to universities to make it easier for engineers to deploy and operate reliable LoRaWAN development environments, based on the manufacturer's market-leading solutions. This allows universities to become familiar with LoRaWAN devices and learn how to quickly build comprehensive IoT solutions.
These technology packages are ideal for testing in special labs where we deploy Proof-of-concept (PoC) or pilot systems. They combine the necessary components to deploy and operate a private or public industrial-grade network capable of operating in the field.
