Digi
Founded in 1985, Digi International has from the beginning focused its efforts on building M2M devices and adapting them to changing network standards. The manufacturer also optimized data communication, based on the most advanced network protocols and the latest technologies. Digi's offerings were the first to include radio frequency modems, and later the vendor began developing gateways, cellular routers, network devices, modular embedded systems (SOMs) and single board computers (SBCs). Today, the company is one of the leading providers of products, services and solutions for providing Internet of Things connectivity. The manufacturer helps companies create next-generation networks and deploy communications infrastructures - especially IIoT. Digi's solutions also help manage the networks built, especially in environments with a high level of security and reliability required.
Digi Specialties
The manufacturer's wide range includes such product groups:
- Embedded Systems
- Networking Systems
- Management IoT Software
Digi's offerings have also grown through acquisitions of other interesting manufacturers - for example, in 2019 the company was acquired Opengear, which provides critical IT infrastructure (including solutions that manage failover to mobile and out-of-band, NetOps Operations Manager for out-of-band ( OOB) management). In 2021, the companies acquired were: Ctek, which specializes in remote monitoring and industrial control solutions, and Ventus, a leader in Managed Network-as-a-Service (MNaaS) solutions that simplify the complexity of enterprise wide area network (WAN) connectivity. Also acquired was Haxiot, which was a leading provider of low-power wide area (LPWA) wireless technology and had an extensive LoRaWAN product portfolio (high-performance client modules, intelligent industrial devices, gateways and the scalable X-ON cloud IoT platform).
Digi offer at Stovaris
Our offer of Digi products is based on a group of Networking Systems - these are mainly LTE and 5G routers for SMB market, offices, dedicated for industrial systems (type: SCADA) and console servers which provide secure and intelligent access to critical resources and data center infrastructure. Completing the offer are industrial gateways that connect various network protocols to IP or cellular networks. They are ideal for connecting networks, sensors and Digi XBee® modules that enable WAN to Ethernet and serial connections.
