Eaton ATS automatic power switch

Automatic power switch Eaton ATS 16 and ATS 30

ATS automatic power switch

Eaton's product portfolio includes automatic power switches, the ATS 16 and ATS 30, which enable easy and cost-effective implementation of dual power redundancy for both new and existing IT and network installations.

ATS 16 and ATS 30 - benefits

ATS 16 and ATS 30 switches increase security and guarantee uninterrupted operation. At the same time, they provide the ability to power single-power devices from two independent energy sources. Such a solution provides users with uninterrupted business continuity, resilience of the IT infrastructure to failures and increased system availability, even if one of the power sources fails.

In today's IT environments, any downtime or interruption in the delivery of IT services is very costly. So dual power supply redundancy is a natural solution that IT experts are increasingly turning to. Unfortunately, only advanced servers and networking products have built-in circuitry to operate from two different power sources. Such units are, of course, expensive. A much cheaper and effective alternative is Eaton's ATS automatic power switch. This economical switch is small in size, easy to install and can be used with any sinusoidal power source.

Eaton ATS 16 and ATS 30

Both models of automatic power switches occupy only 1U of rack space. They guarantee smooth, fully automatic switching between power sources.

ATS 16

The ATS 16 is designed for a rated current of 16 A and has two IEC C20 connectors for input power and eight IEC C13 sockets plus one IEC C19 on the output for powering supported equipment. A built-in LCD display allows users to read power supply parameters, as well as set basic configuration functions.

Technical specifications:

ATS 30

ATS 30 is an automatic power switch with a current rating of 30 A. It uses crimped wire connections for both input and output. It has integrated network communication, which is available as an option on the ATS 16 model. Communication via the network allows users to have continuous access, remote configuration and management from remote locations. In addition, the ATS 30 works with Eaton's third-generation power distribution units (ePDU G3+) that distribute power to multiple devices. Using the software Eaton Intelligent Power Manager we can monitor and manage such a system. In addition, the software guarantees end users an integrated power management system that is prepared for virtualization.
