FAST LTA

FAST LTA is a company specializing in long-term storage of important data. The company offers certified storage solutions that are designed to securely, cost-effectively and in the long term protect digital data. FAST LTA 's core technology is "pat.pend." This is a specialized WORM hard drive controller that uses a special encryption algorithm and regularly inspects all stored data.

FAST LTA was founded in 1985, by cryptographic specialist Matthias Zahn. In 2007, the founder decided to change the company's business profile and took up building long-term archiving equipment. The first solution was a redundant archiving system built on hard drives and a controller with WORM hardware support. The company's breakthrough was the introduction of the Silent Cube solution, built on proprietary LTA technology, created for local archiving. In 2014, the company developed a new concept called COLD STORAGE - "Cost Optimized Linear Disk Storage", which allowed the company to leverage the advantages of tape (inexpensive, offline) and disk-based systems (redundancy, random access, replication). This technology also opened up the company's access to a very large and growing market for backup systems. Today, the company's offerings consist of Silent Bricks and Silent Cubes systems, supported by proprietary backup, archiving, and Video/TV/Broadcast applications.
