Wacom
Wacom is a Japanese company that is a world leader in the pen display and tablet market for creative users. It was founded in the 1980s. In 1984, it launched the first wireless pen tablet and has since become the undisputed leader of these solutions. As a technology company, it has been developing its functionality and product portfolio all the time. Confirmation is the use of tablets in the production of the animated film "Beauty and the Beast" by Walt Disney studios in 1990. The year 2012 marks another milestone for the company, whose solutions are beginning to be adapted in smartphones. Today, Wacom's product portfolio includes: pen computers, tablets with LCD screens, pen tablets, electronic notebooks, pens for mobile devices and a whole host of accessories.
For the manufacturer, the most important thing is the creativity that is in every person. Nobutaka Ide - CEO of Wacom, perfectly conveyed the main idea that defines the way the manufacturer operates: "We inspire and equip not only professional designers or artists who create amazing digital works of art. Our solutions also target the creativity that is present in everyone - in their personal lives or while doing business."
The company's structure reflects two business segments of branded products and technology solutions. The Branded Products division includes business lines for creative users (pen tablets, pen displays and portable pen devices), for consumers (products optimized for digital ink), and for businesses and organizations (business solutions with digital signature tablets and LCD pen tablets). The Technology Solutions division includes solutions for mobile device and stationery manufacturers (EMR and Active ES sensor systems for smartphones, tablets and PCs).
Alstor SDS offers all tablets and electronic notebooks from this manufacturer.
