Retrospect 's data protection and backup software has been protecting customer data since 1989. Initially, the solution was offered by Dantz Development. In 2004, the data protection software was acquired by EMC, and seven years later it was offered to buyers and users under its own brand, as Retrospect Inc. In June 2019, Retrospect became a subsidiary of StorCentric. In doing so, it joined the ranks of such notable companies as Nexsan and Drobo.

Retrospect Backup for Windows
It allows you to backup Windows, Mac and Linux environments with a backup server running on Windows.
Retrospect Backup for Mac
Allows backup of Mac, Windows, and Linux environments with a backup server running on a Mac system.
Retrospect Virtual
Allows backup of Vmware Vsphere and Microsoft Hyper-V virtual environments.
Retrospect Management Console
This is a platform that allows you to monitor and manage multiple licenses (Retrospect Backup and Retrospect Virtual) from a single interface, a single administration panel. Using this platform, the administrator has control over all sources - he knows which are protected and which require his attention. The platform is accessed via a regular web browser or mobile device.
