StarWind Virtual SAN

StarWind Virtual SAN completely eliminates the need for an expensive SAN, network of NAS devices or other shared storage. It can be used in hyperconverged configurations (compute and storage layers run on the same physical servers) or compute layer separated from storage layer (compute and storage layers run on separate physical servers) in Microsoft Scale-Out File Servers,SMB 3.0, VMware, and XEN environments.

StarWind VTL allows companies to eliminate the costly process of backup to tape while meeting regulatory requirements for data storage and archiving using an on-premises virtual VTL library, with the ability to push data to the cloud (object storage layer). Protects backup data from threats by storing it on ransomware-resistant virtual tapes. Replicates and pushes backups to AWS, Azure or other public cloud maximizing security and storage cost efficiency. Local storage scaling can be achieved by using any array with object storage.

VTL for SMEs

VTL for SMBs (Small Medium Enterprises) targets organizations that want to leverage cloud storage to automate backup and archiving processes. VTL automates and replaces manual DR tape shipping and extends an existing DR plan by offering both replication and tiering. VTL for enterprises is suitable for organizations that want to use both physical storage and cloud storage to automate backup, archiving and media management. In this case, VTL provides cost-effective closed-air storage for media assets that need to be stored on-site/locally. For backups and archives, VTL automates and replaces manual DR tape shipping and extends an existing DR plan by offering replication and tiering and cloud storage. VTL for service providers

In this case, VTL allows service providers to offer as a service tape archiving (TaaS), data storage (RaaS) and backup (BaaS) using the cloud and object storage instead of physical LTO tape. Service provider licensing offers a convenient payment system for individual users. In addition, customer data migration services are provided free of charge.
