Single-socket platforms from Supermicro

SuperMicro - the world's third-largest server manufacturer by number of globally sold units - has expanded its offerings with powerful next-generation single-processor platforms. With the use of Intel Xeon E-2300 and Intel Xeon Scalable, the customer gets a choice between budget solutions and class data center - this hits customers' needs perfectly, including financially. Platforms in Entry models start at $600, for each platform there is the possibility to select in Stovaris a configuration according to the customer's need.

SuperMicro's new single-socket systems provide better performance than ever before and support much larger workloads. The systems deliver data-center-class performance. The platforms offer support for new PCIE 4.0 I/O technologies that automatically remove legacy bottlenecks and significantly accelerate applications, compared to the previous generation of processors. The platforms support Intel SGX (Intel® Software Guard Extensions). In addition, they are available in multiple variants, (such as multi-node, traditional rack servers or workstations). The new systems support 4TB to 6TB of DRAM + Intel Optane, which is great considering that they are singe-socket systems.

The Intel Xeon E-2300 processors provide the customer with the small business server performance needed these days, offering processors with up to 8 cores and 128GB of DDR4 RAM, while having a TDP of 95 watts.
