Pluribus Networks

Pluribus Networks was founded in 2010 by three experts specializing in networking who decided to leverage new networking and computing technologies. Pluribus Networks provides industry-leading open networking solutions with next-generation Software-Defined Networking (SDN). The vendor's products are dedicated to modern single-site data centers, data centers with multiple locations, and cloud-based distributed computing environments.

Pluribus Networks enables its customers to simplify increasingly complex network operations by unifying, modernizing and fully automating across distributed Data Center environments. Netvisor ONE's open operating system (Net OS) and Adaptive Cloud Fabric is an out-of-control, next-generation SDN solution. It centrally manages the network on each switch. This innovative approach to SDN creates a single programmable system that includes multiple users, operation with all network devices, low latency operation and distributed network services (e.g. network slicing, edge computing, IOT, video traffic segmentation, L2VPN/L3VPN distributed, multi-site unification). Deploying a vendor's system improves network performance and security, while reducing operational costs and potentially eliminating human error. Using open networking equipment (open networking) such as Bare-Metal Switches (White Box Switches), customers can reduce the cost of purchasing network equipment by 30 to 60%, compared to traditional vendors such as Cisco. Thus, dependence on a single supplier is eliminated and innovation is accelerated.

Customers using Pluribus Networks' solutions gain full visibility of their network, enabling them to implement automation of their network operations. The out-of-control architecture leverages the processing power of the switches, intelligently distributing packets to each switch on the network. This gives users from any switch visibility and the ability to troubleshoot and update across the network. The software does not require costly controllers, eliminating single points of failure, reducing latency and eliminating the need for an out-of-band management channel. According to the manufacturer, SDN in the data center is simplicity of operation combined with the economy of Open Networking / White Box Switch systems. Pluribus Netvisor OS software and Adaptive Cloud Fabric provide an ideal foundation for next-generation networking and distributed cloud solutions. Preferred network hardware vendors for this type of software are Dell EMC and Edgecore Networks, and from our Bare-Metal/White Box Switch portfolio is QCT's QuantaMesh series.

In the middle of 2022, due to organizational reasons and the acquisition of the manufacturer by the Arista Networks corporation, Stovaris ended sales of Pluribus Networks products in Poland. Please direct any questions about pricing, configuration and service to the manufacturer.
